Le cofondateur de Microsoft Bill Gates a applaudi la détermination de la Chine à donner la priorité à la question climatique ainsi que ses contributions à la réduction des émissions de carbone, saluant le fait que le monde bénéficie des efforts chinois pour rendre l’énergie écologique plus abordable.
“C’est une très bonne chose que le président Xi fasse du dossier climatique une priorité et soit disposé à y travailler avec d’autres pays”, a déclaré M. Gates, qui est également co-président de la fondation à but philanthropique Bill & Melinda Gates, dans un entretien exclusif avec Xinhua.
La Chine vise à atteindre son pic d’émissions de CO2 avant 2030 et à parvenir à la neutralité carbone avant 2060, avait annoncé le président chinois Xi Jinping en septembre 2020 lors de la 75e session de l’Assemblée générale des Nations Unies.

Bill Gates appears via video conference – Microsoft Teams, not Zoom, obviously – from his office in Seattle, a large space with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Washington. It’s a gloomy day outside and Gates is, somewhat eccentrically, positioned a long way from the camera, behind a large, kidney-shaped desk; his communications manager sits off to one side. If one had to stage, for the purposes of symbolism, a tableau of a man for whom a distance of 3,000 miles between callers still constitutes too intimate a setting, it might be this. “As a way to start,” says Gates’ aide, “would it be helpful for Bill to make a couple of comments about why he wrote his new book?” It is helpful, and I’m not ungrateful, but this is not how interviews typically commence.

Avez-vous pense demander a Microsoft ou a la Fondation Bill et Melinda Gates(vouee a l’education) de developper un systeme pouvant realiser l’equivalent de Black Box-Les Logiciels en version grand public… evidemment en ayant les options comptables et nutritionnelles?
